Founder’s Story

My inspiration in starting The Everest School stems from my son’s difficulties in traditional school. After years of observing him, experimenting with different approaches and researching trauma informed care I began to see that the most effective way for my son to learn was to give him more autonomy to embrace his interests. Watching him excel in areas that he wasn’t learning in a traditional school setting has been an incredible and eye-opening experience for me. I believe learning can be less about memorizing facts because that's the way it's always been, and more of an adventure that evokes a sense of excitement. I want to extend that opportunity to other children.
